What clients have said

Patrick has a very calm and patient demeanour. I would categorise myself in the “tough-to-coach” category as I am impatient and at times resistant to change. I found Patrick’s ability to listen, challenge, and mostly to stay engaged in the process to be impressive. I found his questioning to be pertinent and his willingness to be authentic to be very refreshing.

Patrick, I appreciate your time and effort that you put into coaching me, and more especially your willingness to be patient and flexible in your work.

My Coaching

I offer powerful, supportive conversation that facilitates the full flourishing of people and organisations. My coaching enables people to expand and fulfil their potential as leaders and as human beings in their life and work.

As a leadership coach, I coach you to lead your life, creating self-sustaining growth, both personal and professional. The form that takes depends on your context. It might be a shift to more helpful behaviour patterns, a change of career direction, practising new ways of relating, or transforming stuckness into fresh possibility.

You are the expert on your own life. As a thinking partner, the core skill I bring is to catalyse and support long-term learning and growth in the area you want to address.

As a mindfulness trainer, I teach the skill of mindful awareness and guide you in applying it in your life. Mindfulness is the fundamental meta-skill of leadership, underpinning and enabling all other skills. I have more than eight years' experience of daily mindfulness practice and am a Senior Trainer of Corporate-Based Mindfulness Training with The Potential Project.

I'm informed by the Integral model as a conceptual framework and by mindful awareness as a tool and container. My coaching style is characterised by genuine warmth and appreciation, strong attentive presence, conceptual insight, challenging questions and an ability to hold complexity and vulnerability in calm, compassionate awareness.

I have coached business owners, salaried professionals, university professors, students and other private individuals. I have a Bachelor of Business Science (Hons) degree from the University of Cape Town and an ICF-accredited Diploma in Practitioner Coaching with The Coaching Centre in Cape Town. I am registered with COMENSA, the Coaches and Mentors Association of South Africa.
